Fancy bag for a fancy gift

ValentineCandy-6-JBStamper

It seems like I just couldn’t stop making Valentine Day candy containers last weekend. I’d finish one and have 2 more ideas pop into my head! My Friday Night group were overwhelmed with options to make – LOL. Here’s another one that I CASEd from Connie Stewart’s SimplySimpleStampin January 7 post.  I love her ideas and they always seem to spark several more ideas for me! I needed a WOW box for my sweet husband’s candy and this is my version, now just orking on what special milk chocolate delights to fill it with for him!

If you want to give a really nice small surprise to someone special for Valentine’s Day and you need that WOW gift box…this one is perfect! It’s so easy to make this box –

You’ll need a 10 ½” x 4 ¼” piece of your Valentine designer series paper. Along the 10 ½” x 4 ¼” side, at score at ½”, 3″, 5 ½”, and 8″. Along the 4 ¼” side, score at ½” and 3″. Fold along score lines, and glue the side together. Glue the bottom flaps together; pinch the top to make it look like a milk carton top. Add your candy, don’t forgot that step. Also be sure to sample the candy to make sure it’s good enough to go into your bag! I call this my creative license fee :). Fold the paper and silver doilies together over the top, add the clip, a ribbon and your greeting stamped tag. Now you are ready to give that special gift.

Here’s a list of things I used, a lot of which is from my retired stash – sigh, it’s so hard to give up all my leftover things when a new catalog comes out. The real red polka dot was from a delightful summer paper several years ago that I bought tons of because it was in my bright colors that I love! The “word bubble” clip is also retired and I forgot I had them until I was looking for something to add a punch and hold the doilies on without tying the box shut! Here’s the current items I used:
