I’ve had my Wood Textures DSP for quite a while, but haven’t used it yet. But fall colors and cards seemed a great way to use some of that paper. I used two different wood textures to make these full size cards using the Paper Pumpkin “Layered Leaves” from my September 2017 Paper Pumpkin kit.
I used a Very Vanilla cardbase with both cards, but a different underlay of cardstock to match the wood texture paper. The card on the left is a darker wood so I layered it over Early Expresso. The one on the right was a lighter wood so it’s layered over Chocolate Chip, although you could also use Soft Suede. The kit’s leaves are stamped with VersaMark ink and heat embossed with Gold Emboss powder. The leaves and tag’s greeting were stamped with Early Espresso ink (included in the PP kit). I added a band of burlap ribbon to each, and on the right side, I added gold metallic thread wound around it. I would have added it to the other card, but it was completely assembled before I thought of it. These would make beautiful Thanksgiving cards, but also “thank you” or fall birthday cards.
Here’s the extra supplies I used (other than my September-2017 Paper Pumpkin kit supplies):
Thanks for stopping by today. I have more cards this week using this Paper Pumpkin kit. If you haven’t used yours yet, time to pull it out and get creative! Happy stamping!
