As I said Monday, I was really productive this past weekend! After finishing my 8-5-16 SGGWW challenge card (if you missed it, see it here), I went back a week to look at the 7-29-16 challenge. Oh, oh…another great template but this time for the Swirly Scribbles thinlet dies I just got. A couple of weeks ago someone posted a card using the retired Moonlight DSP stack, one of my favorites. I apologize to that person, because I’ve lost my “tag” to their card, but thank you for the idea. I dug around my papers and found the pack and laid out all the possible combinations of papers. I also cut out the 3 swirls in all the colors in my paper combinations, Basic Gray, Hello Honey, Lost Lagoon and Rich Razzleberry (not in the pack, but I love it). Then I played around with various combinations until I came up with these two cards.
The one on the left uses the Basic Gray for the card base, with Hello Honey and Basic Gray swirls, and Lost Lagoon for the “washi tape” tag label and words. The card on the left has a Rich Razzleberry card base with the Basic Gray and Rich Razzleberry swirls. I used Basic Gray ink for the tag and Rich Razzleberry for the words. Such a simple clean layout, but I really liked the effect, geometrics and artsy swirls.
Here’s the supplies you’ll need to make the cards (although you’ll need to find another DSP since I used the retired Moonlight paper pack and the matching retired In-Colors, but there are so many new ones that won’t be hard to do).
QUOTE FOR THE DAY:
Take time today to appreciate someone who does something special for you…
By sending them a hand-made card thanking them for what they do.

I have several stacks of that paper sitting around too – you’re inspiring me to fish them out and use up some of the paper 🙂
