I’ve been talking about all the birthday cards I made up 2 weekends ago to build up my “stash” for upcoming birthdays. I took all my cards into work last Thursday to show several co-workers who also stamp the fruit of my labors (BTW-nice pun my sweet hubby said. We do research on getting kids to eat fruit and vegetables. That was the ultimate compliment since he’s a master punster!). Our admin stopped by my office and commented on them. She said this was her favorite one, especially the color, one of Stampin’ Up! new 2015-17 In-Colors, Mint Macaroon.
How fortuitous of me to show her all my cards. Friday was her birthday, so guess which card she received??!! Wish I could say I planned it that way, but it was a great accident on my part. Maybe I should try this more often with my staff so they can pick their favorite one and then receive it on their birthday-LOL! This card followed the Stampin’ Up! example most closely of all my cards in color and embossing folder. But I felt this color was so sweet and feminine that it needed frilly things added to it. Again, I’m enjoying all the simple template layouts I found recently to create my last batch of birthday cards.
Here’s my supply list for this card:
Keep checking in since there are more to come! Oh what fun I’m having in my craft room!
QUOTE FOR THE DAY:
Today’s card was just…
The happy combination of fortuitous circumstances. C. P. Scott
