I fell in love with the Pyramid Pals thinlits when they came out in the annual catalog, but they’ve been languishing on my craft table waiting for a spark of inspiration.
I really wasn’t a fan of the animals it made (even though they are cute), but I just knew it would make some great gift packaging ideas. Take a look at these cute ideas from the catalog.
With all the fall holidays coming quickly I decided it was time to pull the thinlit dies out and start creating. So this past weekend I thought I’d see how many different character boxes I could make! First up, Thanksgiving turkey pilgrim.
Then on to Christmas holidays. Everyone needs a Santa or two, and of course Santa needs his Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer.
And we can’t forget the “Elf on the Shelf” craze, only mine is made with pyramid pal box!
Here’s the whole gang that I created this weekend. I left one side unattached so that I can slip my gifts and treats in them and then used a glue dot to hold the bottom shut.
The possibilities are endless with this die set! How about a love owl for Valentine’s day, a leprechaun for St. Patty’s day, an Easter bunny, just to name a few. What would you create with the Pyramid Pal thinlit die set?? I’ll post my other creations later for you to see.
Here’s what I used for these Pyramid Pals boxes, just a 1 thinlit die set and two Christmas bundles and you’re ready to go to make these boxes and lots of Christmas cards and tags also!

Those are such fun ideas Janice! I bought those thinlit dies too … and they are sitting unopened in a pile along with many other items. I bought them after seeing a cute idea of using them to make mini pinatas on the SU blog – I hadn’t considered them before because I wasn’t too crazy about the whole animal use either. Have a great week! 🙂
