Sounds like an unlikely combination to me. When I think of pink pirouette, I think little girl’s pink tutus and dance costumes, not wild animal prints. At least that’s what I thought when I was thumbing through all the Go Wild DSP patterns to see what colors to pair them with for what type of card. You know I love black & white themes, I love stripes and I love polka dots, but I never thought to combine them all into one until now! This was a fun combination to pull together. I was trying for an unusual color combination that I hadn’t tried before and the Pink Pirouette is another long time color that I haven’t used much or lately. I laid them out on my craft table and thought, why not?! And this is the result:
I use the last of my Another Great Year papers, the Smoky Slate stripes. I layered it over a piece of Basic Black to make it pop off the Pink Pirouette card base. The black polka dot is from the Go Wild DSP stack and I layered it on top of the stripes. I stamped the greeting using the You’re So Sweet stamp set in Basic Black onto a piece of the Pink Pirouette. I fussy cut it out around the frame, but it was quick and easy. I added dimensionals to the back of the greeting tag and popped it up on top. I can use this delightful card for a variety of occasions by just adding the appropriate greeting to the inside. Another quick and easy card, just what you need for that last minute card!
Here’s what I used to make this card:
Thanks for stopping by, I hope to see you back again tomorrow!
