Well, not quite for me. Even though I have a number of the new spring Stampin’ Up! products from the Mini Catalog (January 5-February 28), I’ve made myself clean out my stamp room, again. This time I got serious and sent over 225 retired stamp sets (can you believe anyone could have that many??!) to a friend to help me list and sell them. I was overwhelmed with so many things I wasn’t using and I wanted someone else to be able to give them a loving home. As soon as he has a link, I’ll post it for those of you who are interested in retired Stampin’ Up! stamps, many of which go back to 2008!
Meanwhile, I came across a lot of leftover card kits from my earlier stamp classes. I decided it would be fun taking those leftover kit pieces to create new card designs.
Here’s one card I found from a class on sympathy and thank you cards. (More coming later of other cards I put together, I had a lot!)
The DSP and stamp set are long retired, but I took all the kit pieces, added a few different colors, used newer stamp sets and created these 6 variations. Plus all my new Stampin’ Up! dies made it so much fun to make these tags!
This last one was for my brother-law’s 60th birthday. I get birthday reminders on my phone 10 days before, so I should have plenty of time to make and send a card on time. But somehow my “best laid plans” didn’t work for his birthday card. My husband and I FaceTimed his brother on his birthday, January 1, and I finally got the card in the mail. The outside greeting is from “Happiest of Birthdays.” This will be a set I never give away since the greeting says it all! I forgot to take a picture of the inside, darn. I used the Hip, Hip, Hooray stamp from the “You Are Amazing” stamp set in the annual catalog plus stamped in a big “60”. I hope he likes it.
I had a lot of fun creating these alternative cards. I did the same for several fall cards that I’ll share later, even though fall is long gone!
Hugs to all of you and happy stamping!
