I get the weekly email from Freshly Made Sketches template challenges and use them quite frequently to design my cards. But I rarely get a card done in time to post to the challenge board. I actually finished this card in time to post for the FMS#224 challenge but ended up with a muscle inflammation flare-up that sidetracked me. I’m finally able to share this one (and still in time for this week’s Stampin’ Up! deals – the Stars framelits are on sale!). This card idea started out from yesterday’s set of cards from Stampin’ Up! but I wanted a white card base. Then I saw the challenge and changed it to follow the template. This was such an easy card to do, and I’m really pleased with how it turned out! You can always use a card to cheer someone up “just because”.
I used the Lucky Stars embossing folder, the Stars framelits, and hand cut the star greeting out from You’re So Sweet. I did have to dig around in all my stamp sets to come up with the perfect greeting. Once I again I realized I didn’t write the stamp sets down, so I had to go search for which ones I used. I swear each time I make a card I will jot down the supplies…but…I’m sure you know what I’m talking about. Finally tracked them all down. I used the “Just because” from Tin of Cards, “you’re” from an old non-SU set and the “you” also from You’re So Sweet. Lots of stamp set, but I think it worked to convey what I wanted to say!
