This past weekend I switched gears to create Valentines Day cards. My PCC228 card post yesterday, see it here, inspired today’s card. But this card uses a banner instead in the lower corner created by one of the So Detailed thinlit dies. I played around with several layout options and here’s my final version:
Very simple card, but I think it makes a fun, bold statement as a Valentines Day card for one of your favorite sweeties. The card dimensions are back to more standard sizes so easy to cut them out:
- Whisper White card base cut at 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ folded in half
- Sending Love DSP cut at 5-1/4″ x 4″
- Whisper White banner cut at 4″ x 1-5/8″
- Real Red piece cut big enough to die cut the heart tag, then cut the tag end off, see above
- Whisper White scrap for the greeting banner and to stamp the small hearts
And that’s it! Here’s the supplies you’ll need:
Thanks for stopping by to find ideas for your own Valentines Day cards! Let me know how I can help you.

What a “WOW” card Janice! I love how all the elements came together, and that diecut piece across the front is just perfect.
