Yesterday I shared 3 Birthday Bonanza triple-fold cards I made for my granddaughter and several nieces (see here). Today’s card is for my cousin’s wife.
I cut a 5-1/2″ x 12″ piece of the ice cream cones/candles DSP from the retired Birthday Bonanza DSP. Score the DSP along the 12″ side at: 4-1/4″ (this will be the inside piece. I made sure the ice cream cones were face down and upside down/at the top and not showing so they would appear right side up on the finished card!), 7-1/4″ and 10-1/4″. Fold the card accordion style to get a standard 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ card.
I pulled my new Ice Cream punch from the Mini Catalog and punch 3 ice cream scoops from the Birthday Bonanza DSP, and I punched the cone from the new Ice Cream Corner DSP (from the Ice Cream Corner suite on page 48-49 in the 2021 Mini catalog).
I used the Layering Shapes and the Rectangle Stitched dies to cut the two frames out of Bermuda Bay. I stamped my birthday greeting from the Bonanza Buddies stamp set and the inside greetings were from the New Sweet Ice Cream stamp set. The front tag was popped up with dimensionals. In order to hide the inside tag, I set it off center and added another ice cream cone. I glued the front flap down so the card opens just once by pulling up the flap.
And the candles, lots of candles (many more than her birthday age!), are for emphasis of an “older” person’s birthday – LOL! I hope my cousin appreciates the humor for her card.
Here’s the current supplies I used – the new Ice Cream Corner suite from the 2021 mini catalog on page 48-49.
I hope you try out this triple fold card technique with some of your DSP! Thanks for stopping by today. Don’t forget Sale-a-bration is going on through February 28. You can earn free stamp sets and DSP with your qualified purchases.
Hugs to all of you, and happy stamping!
