After I cut out the spooky tree for last week’s box (see here if you missed it), I had the tree outline leftover. And the wheels began to turn. I couldn’t throw away the tree outline, surely I could use it on a card. Hence, a Halloween card was “born”, or should I say brewed in the cauldron of my mind?
Another new, delightful stamp set is the Cookie Cutter Halloween stamp set. It matches the coordinating Cookie-Cutter builder punch (which comes in a bundle with the Cookie-Cutter Christmas). I love mummies (did you see my Halloween treat container from last year?) so this was a must have set. And that it had a matching punch that also had Christmas stamps, how could I resist??!!
I fussy cut the ghosts into individual characters to layer them onto the card. I also colored the rhinestones with an orange permanent marker to give him spooky eyes. Such a fun card to make! Hope you enjoyed this one and the creative use of the leftover negative image from the tree.
Here’s what you need to make this card, available in the new Holiday catalog starting tomorrow.
