Tomorrow is a dear friend’s 65th birthday…so glad she got there before me, makes me the “baby” of the group again for several months! Our group got together for our annual fall dinner several weekends ago, but I didn’t have her card ready. Then I remembered last night that I needed to get her card in the mail today…oops! So, as usual with me, here’s my last minute creation that’s been in my head for several weeks. Good thing because it came together quickly using the FMS257 sketch from early last month for the outside design.
The card base is Bermuda Bay with Basic Black and Whisper White. The dot paper is from the retired Good as Gold Simply Sent kit. I cut the stars using the Star framelits, stamped the saying using the Birthday Banners stamp set and wrapped the Silver metallic thread around the card.
On the inside I used the Large Number dies for the “65” and the retired Hello You die set for the “Happy” to create the bold saying for her special birthday.
So here’s wishing Sue a happy birthday with this fun card. And may we have many more years of a great friendship! I’m hoping she’ll get her card before she sees my post and in time to enjoy it for her birthday on Thursday.
