I opened my Gilded Autumn suite items this past weekend and was in awe of the beautiful papers. Neither the catalog, nor the shopping page pictures, don’t do it justice! You have to see this one in person. When I originally looked at this DSP I wasn’t sure, but I needed some autumn DSP for fall birthday, thank you and thinking of you cards. I’m so glad that I got this bundle! One side has copper/gold/silver accents, while the other sides has beautiful Cajun Craze, Crumb Cake, Early Espresso, Mint Macron and Very Vanilla colors. And I also got the Love of Leaves stamp set and the matching Stitched Leaves dies – I love this bundle!
My first card uses just the leaf dies and the beautiful leaf and acorn paper from the Gilded Autumn DSP. I used Cajun Craze for my card base and the large leaf. I added a pop of Mint Macaron (one of the colors in this DSP) with the medium leaf, along with a copper leaf and gold thread bow. My frame for the DSP and my tag are in Soft Suede. I used the Stitched So Sweetly dies to make the tag, but you can cut a rectangle if you don’t have them. I love all the Stitched dies and use all of them regularly on my cards! I used a greeting from the Beautiful Autumn stamp set.
My second card uses Very Vanilla, Bumblebee and Cajun Craze and the Crumb Cake speckle DSP. I used almost all of the Stitched Leaves dies on this card – LOL! The only stamping I did was with the Beautiful Autumn “Thank You” greeting. You could make this a birthday card by just changing greeting. As I said, the Gilded Autumn DSP is gorgeous and makes beautiful cards.
I started with a Very Vanilla card base, added a piece of the speckled DSP paper on the bottom portion. I cut a 4-3/4″ x 3-1/2″ Very Vanilla and used the edge die to create the stitching look on the top edge. Glued down my leaves, added a linen thread triple bow (using the 10-second bow maker – you really should have one of these from #MeganDaves!! I’ve had my for a long time and can’t do without it). I stamped my greeting on four different tags (cut with the Stitched Rectangle Dies), one in each of Very Vanilla, Crumb Cake, Cajun Craze and Bumblebee to see which one I liked the best. Bumblebee won! I added the Very Vanilla piece with dimensionals.
I CASed this card from a card in the Stampin’ Up! catalog. I only used the dies on colored cardstock, not the stamp set. Doesn’t mine look better?! LOL!
Here’s what I used to make both of these cards:
Thanks for stopping by today to see my cards! I hope I’ve inspired you to pick the Gilded Autumn DSP and make some of your own fall cards!
