I just received my monthly Paper Pumpkin email today, and I had to pass it on to you! If you are a current Paper Pumpkin subscriber, you will receive it shortly. If not, take a look. You may want to reconsider subscribing!
“Nothing is scarier than being without cute treat packaging for Halloween! So we put a lot of thought into brewing up our Frights & Delights September 2018 Paper Pumpkin kit—just for you. It’s bubbling with scary fun, giving you everything you need to satisfy all of the (big and) little goblins in your life with the cutest treat packages on the block. The specially-decorated box is perfect for carrying and displaying your assembled packages. Then you can watch your treats “disappear” at school or work. Each kit has 24 printed gusseted cello bags, die-cut elements, tag toppers, and metallic silver laser-cut elements—all the ingredients you’ll need for over-the-top, spooky cuteness, plus a Basic Gray Stampin’ Spot.
Watch this month’s unboxing video to find out how to make this creepy kit. It’s not too scary . . . we promise.
Kit Features
Each Frights & Delights kit comes with 24 cardstock cellophane bag bottoms, 24 printed gusseted cellophane bags, 6 sheets tag toppers, 1 sheet die-cut elements, 4 sheets laser-cut elements, 2 sheets silver foil laser-cut elements, 9 yds. baker’s twine, 150 adhesive dots, and 75 dimensionals. And don’t forget the exclusive stamp set and the Basic Gray ink spot!
Which makes all these!
Alternate Uses
We think you’ll be over-the-moon about this month’s alternate projects. They’re so easy to make, and just between us—you might need a few refill kits. There’s just too much fun to be had with the September kit . . . and the alternates are just the beginning.
For instance, do you love our concept artist’s “frank”-ly adorable Halloween card? Light and dark Highland Heather stripes (via Subtles 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper) provide a striking background for the creepy kit elements. The Big Shot and Stitched Shapes Framelits Die edge up the cuteness factor with spooky stitching for each Basic Black, Highland Heather, Pumpkin Pie, and Whisper White Cardstock rectangles. Pop up the stitched embellishments with dimensionals, then sprinkle your card with a smattering of stars (AKA Metallics Sequins) to finish.
To create the “Boo!” treat enclosure, insert a trifolded strip of Whisper White Cardstock into a cello bag filled with candy, punch two holes in the top using the 1/8″ Circle Punch, then tie with Black 5/8″ Glittered Organdy Ribbon. And don’t forget the “Boo” tag. Simply stamp stars from the kit’s exclusive stamp set on Basic Black Cardstock using Whisper White Craft ink, punch a circle from the stamped cardstock using the 2″ Circle Punch, then embellish with die-cuts from the kit. Finally, punch a hole in the top of the tag and tie to the ribbon with baker’s twine.
The tricks and treats don’t stop there. Make the pumpkin goodie bag by stamping the sentiment in Basic Gray ink on Whisper White Cardstock. Cut a tag shape, punch a hole in the top of the tag, and tie to a candy-filled cello bag using baker’s twine. It’s simple. It’s fun. And no one needs to know that it took you two minutes to make.
