Finally, my box of new Stampin’ Up! goodies arrived this week. I was late in ordering since December was a family month with little time to do anything else. No crafting, no creating new projects, no orders for the new stamps, papers and accessories (I did have severe withdrawals-LOL, but family is more important!).
So this week I’ve been spending lots of time in my craft room and designing cards in anticipation of the arrival of my box of goodies! I have a lot of birthdays coming up in January and February, hence my concentration on making lots of birthday cards (Valentine’s Day is next on my agenda when I get enough birthdays done). MOJO479 template this week was perfect for this bright Festive Birthday DSP, and I am in Texas so fiesta is so appropriate!
The card base is Whisper White with a 4″x5-1/4″ piece of Emerald Envy. I layered the Fiesta Birthday stripes (3-3/4″ x 2-5/8″) on the bottom and a 3-3/4″ x 2-1/4″ piece of Whisper White on the top. I punched out the ballon, added the thick twine and popped it up with dimensional. I used the Stitched Shapes framelits to cut the Tempting Turquoise square and circle, then added the greeting from Balloon Adventures and another piece of the print DSP. A festive card for a birthday fiesta celebration in Texas!

What a fun card! I love the Fiesta Suite, there’s just something very fun and festive about it, and the colors are bright and cheery which are perfect for birthdays!
