This week’s challenges on a number of the websites I follow have been awe-inspiring! I’ve made a number of cards for various challenges, all have been Christmas cards. But I needed some fall cards, and this week’s MOJO468 challenge seemed to shout “fall card” to me.
I used Tangerine Tango for the card base with pieces from the retired Into the Woods DSP from last year as the focal point. I was trying to decide what border to use as I was cutting the Chocolate Chip pieces. Since this was a woodlands theme, I thought why not use the fence from the Halloween Scene edgelits. When I cut it from my strip I was left with an interesting design that really added an unusual look to the bottom. So that’s how I got the weird design at the bottom! At the last minute I wanted a little detail pop like the template, so I fussy cut the flower and branches from a scrap of the DSP and added it to the corner.
I’m finding the new Suite Seasons stamp set to be very versatile. So far I’ve used the Halloween saying, one of the Christmas sayings and now the Give Thanks saying! This is a great stamp set to add to your collection!
Here’s what I used for this card and thanks for stopping by!
