Yes, it’s been glorious here in Houston with incredibly cool temperatures (for us, that is)! Today I’m back to another fall cards before I start on my Christmas cards. The card was part of a zoom stamp meeting challenge on the “Stamping Family” group I belong to. Confession on my part, I had to watch the taped version because I forgot the time! Megan’s design was simple, but so much fun. Of course, being an overachiever (as many of you know) and I added more layers and bling to my card.
The one thing I liked about Megan’s card was the stamped “sprinkles.” I don’t usually do that but did on this card. I love the way it looks. Now, I have to tell you when I first stamped them, I stamped them in the wrong place so the center piece covered them – LOL. So I had to stamp more above and below the others. At least I didn’t have to start over! Rather than stamp an image for each square, I die cut the leaves with my Gathered Leaves dies. They cut and emboss the design all in one pass! I knew I wanted to use this greeting from Friend Like You stamp set. But…when I opened my stamp case, that stamp was missing. This led me on a several hours search for that stamp. In the process of looking, I found an errant tiny die which sent me in a whole other pursuit to find where it went. Several hours later, with help from one of my FB groups, the die was returned to my Stitched Stars dies. Meanwhile I accidentally stumbled onto my missing stamp! Oh the perils of stamping so many cards without cleaning up after each one! Do you clean up after each card, or you like me and have things all over the place from multiple cards? I keep saying I’m going to clean up…but never seem to do it. Too many ideas funning through my mind!
Here’s the supplies I used for this card:
Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you are enjoying your fall weather wherever you are today. Be sure to let me know what kind of stamper you are – clean up and put everything up after each card, or chaos in your craft room with things all over, like me! Happy stamping!
