I’m back to making more birthday cards for my contribution to #imbringingbirthdaysback! I’ve had so much fun this year creating lots of birthday cards to send to family and friends! We were challenged last year to make and send more “snail mail” birthday cards, such a rare occasion these days with all the social media outlets. I decided to create several cards using one of Connie Stewart’s wonderful templates to make a set of quick cards. Here’s my first one, more masculine colors for several guys in my life who have upcoming birthdays. For all of these set of cards I’m sharing this week, I used my retired Go Wild DSP paper stack to see how many different ones I could make with them.
I started with a Pacific Point card base and an overlay of Whisper White. I put another piece of Pacific Point under the fun papers from the Go Wild DSP paper stack to make it stand out. The balloons were punched with my Balloon Bouquet punch from the Go Wild DSP and one from the Pacific Point cardstock. I used my Confetti embossing folder to emboss it by putting the balloon on the edge. I added the twine after I stamped the “Happiest Birthday” greeting from the Cool Treats stamp set and then heat embossed with clear embossing powder. You can’t see the sparkle in the picture, but trust me…it’s there. A quick card that you can mass produce quite a few in just little time. And if you change the card base color, you have unique cards.
Here’s my supply list for this card, but you can substitute your favorite cardstock colors and DSP paper from Stampin’ Up!
