One of the great stamp set and die bundles available in the new Stampin’ Up! 2020-21 catalog is the Celebrate Sunshine. I’m ready! Hoping the current tropical storm Cristobal that’s heading into the Gulf of Mexico doesn’t develop into a full-flown hurricane, it’s too early!! Meanwhile we are getting beautiful sunshine and I’m loving it.
I made several versions of this card. These first two are simple ones just using the Celebrate Sunshine stamps, Crushed Curry and Daffodil Delight inks and paper. The first one has a linen thread bow, while the second one has a bow in green gingham ribbon from the new Flowers for Every Season ribbon pack
I stamped a series of sunflowers using various combination of Crushed Curry, Daffodil Delight and Pumpkin Pie inks to see how each of the combinations looked. These three are the ones I liked the best. I die-cut them with the Sunflowers dies and added them to a Daffodil Delight card base. The centers are stamped on Soft Suede with Soft Suede ink and die-cut out to adhere to the centers.
This next card used just the Sunflower dies to create the flower. I dry-embossed the Whisper White frame with the new Old World Paper embossing folder – love this look without having to hand crumple my paper! Thanks Stampin’ Up! for this one!!
This card was my over-the-top card using a lot of new Stampin’ Up! products – maybe too many-LOL! I used Flowers for Every Season DSP in the background, there are so many beautiful papers in this set! Plus the green gingham ribbon again, and several of my stitched dies along with the Sunflowers dies.
This last card I made was to highlight how the Sunflower dies could make a beautiful, but simple card. This one is probably my favorite!
Supplies I used for the various cards:
Thanks for taking a look at the Celebrate Sunshine cards – and I hope you are also experiencing sunshine! Did you see yesterday’s post highlighting the new Stampin’ Up! Products suites (see it here)?
