So yesterday, I shared my first Valentine’s Day card with you. I cut the delicate heart out of of a 4″ Real Red square and used it for the center of that card. If you missed it, see it here. Meanwhile the frugal person I am just couldn’t throw away that square with such a pretty lacy heart outline in the center. So my next design was born.
Today’s card is a 4-1/4″ square – wow, 2 square cards in a row. I haven’t made a square card in years, hmmm…I may have to do them more often. I liked both of my results. This time I did a Real Red card base with a Very Vanilla layer and then trimmed the Real Red square down to fit inside. Then I stamped the lacy heart from the Bloomin’ Love stamp set, added the banner from the stamp set and layered it onto my card with dimensionals. I added my Rhinestone bling and a small Very Vanilla satin knot and decided I was finished. Oh, yes, before I permanently adhere the Real Red heart square I punched the corners with the new Trio Curvy Corners punch. I’ve used it a lot on multiple projects since I got it. Here’s what I used to make this card:
