Argh…it’s too dang cold for those of us in Texas. We live here for the gorgeous weather, at least in the southern portion of the state. This next week’s temperatures will be in the 20’s and 30’s! Yes, I know my northern family and friends are laughing at that since these they have these temperatures for most of the winter. So I’m planning on staying indoors to keep warm. And what better to do with that indoor time than to make CARDS! I hope that you are also finding the time indoors conducive to crafting.
One of my first card shares this year was “Not Just for Christmas” during my catalog launch. I made birthday, get well, and thank you cards using my retired Christmas DSP! Wait, aren’t the holidays are over? Yes, but take a second look at your Christmas/Holiday DSP papers. One side is holiday prints, the other sides have more generic prints or patterns. So rather than “shelving” them until next Christmas, make some all occasion cards. It was a great challenge and lots of fun to see what I could create!
The first DSP I used was the Penguin Playmates from the August-September 2021 Sale-a-Bration catalog. This was a darling paper from which I made a lot of Christmas cards! But I wanted to use more of this paper, so here are two of my non-holiday cards I created!
Yes, that last card above uses one of the Penguin Playmates designs! Totally different look, yet a really pretty design. I used the Stitched Greenery die for the background; adds a lot of detail with very little effort. This next card was a Thank You card with a removable notecard inside. You can add a message, or a gift card as a thank you for someone.
Fun ideas! Check back tomorrow as I share some of the cute cards I made with my favorite Christmas DSP, the darling “Sweet Stockings”! Meanwhile, don’t forget, Sale-a-bration is still going on through February 28. Take a look at the great freebies you can earn starting with just a $50 purchase.
Thanks for stopping by today. If you don’t have a demonstrator, I’d love to be yours. Just hop over to my site to shop. Hugs to all of you, and happy stamping!
