Even though it’s almost mid October, here in south Texas we are still in the 80’s and 90’s. The weatherman keeps promising cooler temperatures, but we’ve only seen a few days in the 60’s in the morning so far. But I’m not complaining, when everyone else has snow, we’ll be in the 40-50’s which is just fine!
I’m continuing with my fall card frenzy to get enough made to send Thanksgiving cards to my family. This week’s Freshly Made Sketches template 258 was perfect for this fall card creation.
The card base is Crumb Cake, with Always Artichoke and Soft Suede for accent colors. I dry embossed the card base with the Woodland embossing folder, seemed very appropriate for a fall card. I sponged the trees with Soft Suede ink to give them depth, as I did with the leaves in Crushed Curry, Cajun Craze, and Crumb Cake. I used my bone folder to curl and “weather” them to look more like fall leaves. The DSP is the retired Autumn Traditions from long, long ago. I used the Bitty Banner die to cut out the Thankful from Acorny Thank You stamp set.
